Young couples across Diocese invited to deepen their relationships

From staff reports

Young Catholic adults throughout the Diocese of Trenton are invited to delve more deeply into their relationship as a couple in a new bi-monthly gathering to be held on the campus of Rider University, Lawrenceville.

Beginning Sept. 5, each session will cover subjects such as prayer life, sexuality, God’s plan for a relationship and other topics. The program is open to all dating couples in the Diocese, ages 18-30 who wish to explore what it means to be a young Christian couple, said Cristina D’Averso-Collins, director of campus ministries at Monmouth and Rider Universities.

“Each age group can learn from each other,” she said.

Presenters will include D’Averso-Collins and her husband, Brian, both of whom hold degrees in marriage and family theology. Each evening will begin at 7 p.m. at Rider University’s Emmaus House and last for roughly one hour, followed by refreshments. The program is scheduled to run from September until the spring.

The deadline for registration is Sept. 1. There is no cost for the program.

To register, or for more information, contact D’Averso-Collins at 908-433-8251. The Emmaus House at Rider University is located at 2116 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville.
