2018 St. Patrick's Day parades and events planned

The following parades and events celebrating St. Patrick’s Day will take place in the Diocese of Trenton:

Belmar-Lake Como • Parade • March 4, 12:30 p.m., rain or shine. Begins at the western end of Lake Como at 3rd Ave. and North Blvd.

Hamilton • Parade • March 10, 1 p.m. Begins at Nottingham Fire House, 200 Mercer St.

Seaside Heights • Parade • March 10, 12 p.m. Begins on the Boulevard and goes 1.25 miles, starting at the Seaside Park border and ending at Sampson Ave. Rain date March 11.

Asbury Park • Parade • March 11, 1 p.m. Begins at the Asbury Park Boardwalk on Ocean and 4th Aves., and continues southwest toward downtown, ending on Main St. in Municipal Plaza. Reviewing stand and V.I.P. area will be at Press Plaza (Cookman/Emory Ave.).

Rumson • Parade and Festival • March 11, 1 p.m., rain or shine. Parade begins on East River Rd. and proceeds to Victory Park and Carton St. Event features eight bag pipe bands, floats, marching bands, Irish step dancers, traditional Irish food, antique and classic cars, novelty acts, veteran’s groups and more.

Highlands • Parade • March 24, 2 p.m. Parade begins at Huddy Park and continues one-mile stretch of Bay Ave., featuring bagpipers, marching bands and floats.

Robbinsville • Parade • March 24, 1 p.m. Opening ceremonies begin 12:30 p.m. at Foxmoor Shopping Center, at the corner of Route 33 and Washington Blvd. Parade route will proceed north on Washington Blvd., right onto North St., right onto Newtown Blvd., right onto Lake Drive East, continue past lake and gazebo area, left onto Union St., then proceed past reviewing stand at Union and Burnet Walk.

Mount Holly • Parade and After-Party • March 3, 1 p.m. Parade begins in downtown Mount Holly. Event includes pipe bands, Irish bands, step dancers and other Irish traditions. Official after-party follows parade at High Street Grill, with Irish music on two stages continuing all day and night.
