End-of-life, Last Things information sessions scheduled in Fair Haven, Holmdel

As most every Catholic family will have some experience with hospice care at some time in the future, whether it is for an immediate family member or for neighbors and friends, an information session on the Catholic Church’s teaching regarding end-of-life decisions and the spirituality of hospice care will be held 10 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 11 in the chapel of Nativity Parish, Fair Haven.

Presenters will be Father James Grogan, administrator of Nativity Parish, and Msgr. Sam Sirianni, rector of St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold.

St. Catharine Parish, Holmdel, will host a workshop, “Into the Light, A Workshop Designed to Illuminate Your Approach to Last Things, 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 9 in Rooms 16 and 17. Dominican Father Thomas More Garrett, a weekend assistant in the parish, will offer a theological and practical point of view on end-of-life planning. He will also be joined by Bill Boglioli of Holmdel Funeral Home and Joe Bonfiglio, a retirement and estate planner.
