It was standing room only in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Asbury Park Aug. 25 as hundreds of faithful of all ages and ethnicities gathered from around the diocese to share in a Mass celebrated by Bishop John M. Smith on the eve of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta’s 100th birthday.

Community of Nations
Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Trenton, turned into a mini-United Nations July 16 when an international delegation of Religious Teachers Filippini sisters - coming from locations as far as Italy, Brazil, Ethiopia and India - returned to the church where the sisters first began ministering in the United States in 1910.

Bishop John M. Smith presided at a Mass honoring the Filippini community for their long history of service to the Church and in the Trenton Diocese.
