A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 16 in Blessed Sacrament-Our Lady of the Divine Shepherd Church, Trenton, for Guy H. Hoffman who died Jan. 8. He was 80.
Born in Trenton, Hoffman was a lifelong resident and was educated in Trenton parochial schools. He was a devoted member of the former Our Lady of the Divine Shepherd Parish (now part of Blessed Sacrament-Our Lady of the Divine Shepherd Parish) and attended Sacred Heart Parish, Trenton. He was a member of the Trenton Council, Knights of Columbus for 55 years and an honorary life member of the Fourth Degree. Positions he has held in the Knights include past grand knight and trustee of the Trenton Council, former district warden for various district deputies, advocate for the Centennial Chapter Fourth Degree of the Bishop Griffin Assembly and Advocate of the Centennial Chapter of the Knights of Columbus. In 1974, he was honored as
a “Knight of the Year.”
Hoffman was predeceased by his parents and a sister. He is survived by four sisters, two brothers and four generations of nieces and nephews.
