CBA golf team wins Tournament of Champions for 2nd straight year

Tim Sewing’s Christian Brothers’ Academy golf team was more concerned with focusing on the task than the outcome this year.

On May 21, the Colts of Lincroft won their second consecutive NJSIAA Tournament of Champions title by shooting a combined 297 at the Hopewell Valley Golf Club. CBA finished 14 strokes ahead of Old Tappan and Watching Hills to win its ninth overall MOC title and first back-to-back crowns since 1985-86.

While that would have been enough for many athletes to take the season off, Bennett knew her team needed her and played as many games as possible during her sophomore season. It wasn’t easy, but she wasn’t alone.
