A statement from the Diocese of Trenton on Holy Cross Academy, Delran
For 60 years, Holy Cross High School/Academy in Delran has been both a blessing and an important resource in the Diocese of Trenton, providing a quality Catholic education to families in Burlington County and beyond.

During that time, this diocesan high school has seen significant growth, at one point even requiring the construction of a larger facility.  More recently, however, the school, like many others across the nation, has experienced serious decline in both its enrollment and its ability to sustain itself financially.

Bishop O'Connell reflects on vocations dinner spent with priests, young men of Diocese
In these days leading up to Christmas, it is not unusual to hear the question “What would you like for Christmas?”

I have a pretty big list – four counties worth! – but, if asked, I would be quick to respond, “more seminarians for the Diocese of Trenton!” That wish was evident on Saturday evening, Dec. 9, when 13 local young men braved the season’s first snowstorm and came to my residence in Princeton for dinner and conversation about the priesthood.

FAITH ALIVE: Advent week two: Promise, prophecy and return

The world needs modern-day prophets like Isaiah who continue to declare hope during bleak times and can remind people that God has not forgotten them. God's promise lives on.

Advent is a time of preparation through repentance. We must admit our sinfulness. Yet, it is repentance born out of hope.

From the Bishop: 'Nothing is impossible with God': the message of the Immaculate Conception

A message from Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., for the Solemn Feast of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated on Dec. 8.

Never had our world heard better news than that spoken by the Angel Gabriel to an innocent Jewish maiden, barely a teenager, in the Gospel from St. Luke proclaimed on the Solemn Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Centuries of longing of the Chosen People of God came to an end as the Angel announced to Mary, "Hail, full of grace!  The Lord is with you (Luke 1:28)."
